5.Brief introduction of the project;
Ceylon tea is world reputed and has a growing market in the East European countries. In addition to natural tea as a beverage the flavoured and iced teas are increasingly becoming popular particularly amongst the younger generation. There is also the potential for manufacturing green tea for the Chinese market. It is intended to establish a Joint Venture which will entertain tax holidays etc form which a foreign investor could accrue substantial profits. Local partner will be responsible for providing lands, raw materials and any other negotiated inputs.

（二）、RUBBER POJECT

Sharing of land, warehousing, logistical arrangements and finding of suitable markets.
5. Brief introduction of the project;
During the trade promotional visit to China along with the then Prime Minister of Sri Lanka it was observed that natural rubber latex is in demand in China for the manufacture of condoms and similar material. The inquiries conducted in Sri Lanka revealed that some of the leading rubber plantations in Sri Lanka are in a position to provide uninterrupted supply of rubber latex for export at competitive prices. Therefore a Joint Venture between Sri Lanka and China is proposed. A copy of the feasibility report could be provided on request.

（三）、CONDOMS PROJECT

Manufacture of Condoms for the Chinese and the East European markets

Providing of machinery and equipment to establish a manufacturing facility and find markets for the products.
5. Brief introduction of the project;
During the trade promotional visit to China along with the then Prime Minister of Sri Lanka it was observed that several trading houses dealing with the China and the East European markets are in need of supplies of large volumes of condoms at competitive prices. A brief feasibility study revealed that this item could be supplied at a much cheaper price for the purpose of exporting to China and European Union countries. The local investor will be responsible for providing the land, the factory building and raw material for the manufacture of condoms.

（四）、 CHINA TOWN IN SRI LANKA

3. Total budgeted investment of the project; Upper limit of US$ 1,000,000/-
4. Type of investment expected form the Joint Venture partner in China;
Fabrication of trade depot, authentic restaurants, eating houses and a wonder world. Sourcing of items, from potential parties in China, to be exhibited and traded at the trade depot.
5. Brief introduction of the project;
During the trade promotional visit to China along with the then Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, it was proposed by the Chinese business counterparts to establish a business center in Sri Lanka at which Chinese products and services be promoted / marketed. The proposed trade depot will exhibit and trade various types of Chinese products. The identified items are ceramics, tractors including hand tractors, machinery, equipment, tools and various other items including fabrics which could be sold to garment and apparel exporters of Sri Lanka. It is also proposed that restaurants, eating houses and the wonder world to provide services in Chinese atmosphere be created. The complex also acts as a buying house of Sri Lankan products for export to China
